G.H Baillie lists Joseph Herring, London as a Livery Man of the Clockmakers Company, 1767-1804 and based in Farringdon in 1793. The 52mm Outer is in superb condition, with just a few small dings on the back and bears all the same markings as the Inner – (Ref : 201 D)īritten lists Joseph Herring as free of the Clockmakers Company, by redemption in 1770. It is stamped with the Lion Passant Silver Standard Mark, has a London Hallmark and a Yeardate for 1770c. Pendant Ring) is in very good condition, with just one small ding near the winding hole and bears the Makers Mark D.A which is that of David Aveline of Seven Dials (see Priestley). The 37mm Enamel Dial is in very good condition, has Roman Numerals and Arabic M inutes in the outer chapter ring. This is a very nice late 18th Century, Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, with a Working Calendar Dial by JOSEPH HERRING of CORNHILL LONDON, which comes in SILVER Pair Cases, both dated London 1770c.
